NAPA SuperStats
Patented Weir valve technology in all NAPA SuperStats results in faster engine warmups and increased fuel efficiency due to the fact that Weir stats react to engine temperature changes more quickly. Larger springs contributes to longer life. Insist on NAPA SuperStats!

Fail Safe Thermostats. A Good Idea?
"Fail safe" type thermostats are designed to ensure that the engine will not overheat due to a cooling system failure. Notice the brass tabs under the flange on both sides of the stat. Once the valve travels below the tabs, they lock the valve in the open position...permanently. With the stat permanently locked in the open position, the engine never comes up to proper operating temperature. The car's computer, however, tries to compensate for the low temperature by increasing the mix of fuel, decreasing fuel economy and increasing emissions. A better solution to overheating is not a thermostat that can creat even more problems, but OE quality SuperStats from NAPA!
