NAPA Belts/Hose now offers a full line of industrial power transmission belts from the world leader in belt technology—Gates Corporation.
Industrial belts are used in thousands of power-transmission applications, from power tools to office machines to food packaging equipment and rock-crushing operations.
NAPA now offers over 11,000 part numbers designed to be the best performing and longest lasting belts in the industry.
There are two major classes of industrial belts: Synchronous and V-Belts. Synchronous belts are used in applications where a precise, direct and unvarying relationship must be maintained among the components in the

drive system. Precision-molded belt teeth mesh with grooved sprockets to transmit power to the components without slippage, so the motion of all the components remains precisely timed.
V-belts are utilized in situations where power needs to be transmitted, but does not require precise timing. V-belts are capable of transmitting higher torque, variable speeds, clutching and shock loads. There are a number of basic designs that perform specific functions such as small-radius turns, rollover resistance, low profile for smaller pulleys, and large drive ratios.
